The estate
First mentioned in the 16th century, when the Luberon's silk farms were being built, the old Barattes farmhouse has been carefully restored into a majestic bastide adjoining a mas. Today: 300 sq m of beautifully proportioned rooms, finely decorated, set in one hectare of landscaped grounds, at the gates of Cavaillon and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The estate is rented in its entirety and lived in like a family home, for a weekend or longer, with family or friends.
Ceremony space facing the lavender, cocktail area around the pool, a large shaded pergola, dinner area under festoon lights, a petanque corner, a large meadow for children, and a 150 sq m barn.
Secured private pool, garden lounges, sun loungers and parasols, a plancha grill, a petanque court and private parking. House linen is provided.
If you are hosting guests beyond the 2 cottages on site, the immediate neighbourhood offers more: guesthouses, cottages and unusual stays a few minutes' walk away, hotels within a five-kilometre radius.

Yes. La Bastide des Barattes can be booked in its entirety, for two to five days: no other group is hosted on the property.

From June to late September, depending on the year. The lavender field lies just beyond the Bastide.
